THE FORCE has had an overwhelming response to the launch of its new annual awards ceremony, and this Friday is your last chance to get involved.
Over the past five weeks, colleagues and members of the public have been busy highlighting the fantastic work that is being carried out on a day to day basis across the entire police family.
At the time of writing well over 150 nominations have been received for individuals and teams across the entire organisation and they are still coming in.
The closing date for the nominations is midnight on Friday 16 November, so there is still time to recognise a deserving colleague or team.
Deputy Chief Constable Dave Thompson has released a short video in support of the awards, urging colleagues to use this opportunity to recognise and reward deserving members of the police family.
He said: “If you know someone who deserves recognition, then you owe it to them to nominate before Friday.”
Don’t forget, anyone can make a nomination for police officers, police staff, PCSOs or special constables across a range of ten categories including:
- Working in Partnership
- Community Engagement
- Excellence In Service Delivery
- Driving Diversity
- Leading Change
- Creativity And Innovation
- Inspirational Leadership
- Putting The Public First
- Team Of The Year
- Employee Of The Year
There is also a special category – the Community ‘Thank You’ award – to recognise an individual or group that have worked closely with the police to make a real difference to the community.
