Biggest force POCA forfeiture from cash hidden in man’s bedroom

THE FORCE has recovered the largest ever seizure under the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) of £1.33m, found hidden in a man’s bedroom. A Birmingham court ordered the seizure of the cash after a successful application by officers from the ECU. The forfeiture went ahead despite initial criminal proceedings being dropped.
